Planet of the Day

Here is Pluto, the planet of the day. It is extremely small, and considered a dwarf planet in the Kuiper Belt, but it will always be a planet to me :) It's diameter is 1,413 miles across. That's smaller than the diameter of Earth's moon! It is also an extremely cold planet, as it's minimum distance from the sun is 4.6 billion miles! (Maximum 7.4 billion miles) Perhaps that's why it was named after the Roman God of the Underworld.
